  • Yoyo, I just got back from Japan a few days ago.  For those of you curious, I guess I'll start updating what happened by day by day.

    May 22nd - First Day
My flight for Japan left on May 22nd at like 7:14AM, so I had stayed up the entire night before packing and getting ready to leave at 4:30AM to get to the airport. My dad was gonna drop me and my friends (Pat and his gf Tina) off at the airport since it was on the way to New York, where he worked. After picking up my friends, I had realized I forgot my money for the apartment we had rented in Kyoto, so back to my house we went, where I spent 10 minutes looking for the envelope when I remembered that I had stuck a bunch of papers onto a shelf before while I was cleaning, so I checked those papers and voila, there was the rent money. Now, it was off to the airport we went. We checked in, and then met up with another two of my friends that were going to Japan with us, Dan and Miho(Dan was gonna share a room with me in the apt, while Pat and Tina took the other room, and Miho was going to stay with her relatives in Japan and hang out with us occasionally). Anyways, the flight had a transfer in Dallas, so off to Dallas, Texas we went. We arrived at 10AM and our flight was at 11:45AM, so we had plenty of time to kill. Pat and I went to check out Brookstone, which was like a Sharper Image type store until everyone got tired of waiting outside and dragged us out to leave (well, at least the girls did....and Dan, sometimes I wonder about that kid). Well, after dragging us away, we decided to get some food, Pat and Tina got a quesadilla and I got some pulled pork or beef or some meat of some sort. It was pretty good, reminded me of a sloppy joe. At Dallas, I was suppose to meet up with two other friends, Tiff and Shawn (they left from La Guardia and were gonna be on the same flight as us from Dallas to Japan) but I didn't see them. So I called them, but I guess her phone was off. I left my phone in case she tried to call me, but I guess it doesn't show missed calls if the phone was off. Well, soon it was like 11:15 ish and they started boarding for the flight. I got on and still didn't see Tiff or Shawn anywhere, so I decided to call them, but I got her voicemail. As soon as I called though, they said I had to turn off my cellphone, so I did. I hope Tiff didn't try calling me back >_<. Anyways, it was off to Japan we go, a 14 something hour flight. The flight was okay, I watched Casanova, or part of it, played Chrono Trigger on my PSP (with snes rom), and slept a lot.

So, we arrived in Japan at 3:30pm, where two of the Ritsumeikan (a university in Kyoto that has sort of an exchange program with Rutgers where a class of Japanese students comes to Rutgers for 5 weeks) students I had met while they were here were waiting for us. They were Hirozo and Takako. They helped us go get our JR passes, which let us ride any trains or buses ran by the Japan Rail company for free. The pass costed $405 for two weeks of usage T_T. And oh, remember Tiff and Shawn? Turns out they had missed the flight....reasons unknown....for now. But they would be coming to Japan tomorrow. So anyways, Takako was gonna stay in Osaka, which is where we arrived, at the Kansai International Airport to be exact), while Hirozo was going to take a separate train to Kyoto (where we were staying and is right next to Osaka). So off to the train tracks we went. When we went down, the first thing we did was buy drinks from a vending machines (let me tell you, vending machines are everywhere. You can't go more than a block without seeing a vending machine). I bought something called Bubble Man II. It was pretty good, but I couldn't help but wonder what happened to Bubble Man I? Anyways, our train, the Haruka, arrived and it was a 75 min ride to Kyoto. On the way, we saw lot of Pachinko parlors and other interesting stuff, like a mall with a mini rollercoaster on type of it. That was just crazy. But what's even crazier is that we saw a house with their own personal car lift. A car lift!! Like the ones you see in New York parking places, except this was a private personal one! Insanity!

So we arrive at Kyoto station, which is the main bus station/train for all of Kyoto. There, we had no idea where to go so we just followed everyone until we saw the rest of the Rits kids waiting for us. It was awesome. From there, we split into two groups, one to take Dan and I to our apartment, and the other group to take Pat and Tina to their hotel (Pat and Tina was gonna stay at a hotel for the first two nights then move into the apartment with us since the other room would be occupied for those two nights). Omg, my suitcase was insanely heavy. Lugging it out to the busstop wasn't tha tmuch of a pain, neither was getting it onto the bus. But after getting off the bus was where my hell began because one of the wheels was being retarded and not working correctly. The damn thing kept heading off towards the left...that or it kept falling over cause the weight wasn't distributed correctly (I had vacuum sealed my clothes and I guess it was all leaning to one side). At that point I lifted up the front ned of the suitcase so it was only resting on the back wheel, which was actually working correctly. So we walked for about 5 minutes before finding out apartment...it seemed like 20 hauling that heavy ass thing around. Oh, btw, I forgot to mention earlier that you have to pay a penalty if your suitcase is over 50 lbs at the airport during check-in; my suitcase was 49 lbs.

So anyways, we got to the apt, checked in, dropped off the luggage, and then headed over to a restaurant to meet up with everyone else and have dinner. (Sidenote: Since a lot of people use the bus to get around Kyoto, they sell an all day bus pass for 500 yen, which is roughly $5. Regular bus far costs 220yen) We ate at a soba place, which is a type of noodle. I had cold soba and it was gooooood. Cold soba is, well, soba that's cold. Except you dip it in a cup of sauce when you eat it, it was awesome. After dinner, almost everyone went their seperate ways. Some of the rits kids volunteered to show us how to walk home though, which was really nice. Hide and Maya showed Dan and I how to walk back to our place. I forgot who went with Pat and Tina. Maya went home after that but Hide wanted to chill at our place for a while. So he came over and we talked and stuffs, then he had to go cause it was getting late. After he left, we decided to go to Seven Elven to get something to drink and possibly breakfast. I bought some green tea, which is really uber strong in Japan (read: bitter) and some weird fruit sandwich. Basically, it had kiwi, strawberries, and pineable in it, with whip cream all around it, surrounded by bread. And that, is the end of our first day. More to come later.

  • boredom (and lack of will power to commit myself to doing hw) has led me to take a handwriting test at http://www.handwritingwizard.com

******* The Analysis Starts Here *******

For a graphologist, the spacing on the page reflects the writer's attitude toward their own world and relationship to things in his or her own space.  If the inputted data was correct Chris has left lots of white space on the left side of the paper. Chris fills up the rest of the page in a normal fashion. If this is true, then Chris has  a healthy relationship to the past and is ready to move on. The right side of the page represents the future and Chris is ready and willing to get started living now and planning for the future.  Chris would like to leave the past behind and move on.

Chris has  a very unusual lower zone y loop.  If the data input is correct, Chris's y or g is large and has triangle shape to the lower loop.  This is not a common trait, but the implications are very interesting.  As you begin to study handwriting analysis, you will learn any loop indicates imagination.  This lower loop indicates the amount of imagination Chris has regarding sex and physical things. His lower zone stroke is large, so his sexual imagination is large and open.  Furthermore, because the loop has a triangle shape, this indicates a particular curiosity with certain aspects of sexuality.  In a nutshell, Chris is open to some very new ideas sexually and is willing to try anything once.  I'd say Chris  is quite a dynamic and playful lover.  Watch out world!

Chris exaggerates about everything that has a physical nature. Although he may not intend to deceive or mislead, he blows things way out of proportion because that is the way he views them. He will be a good story teller. This exaggeration relates to all areas of his material world. Chris allows many people into his life because he is accepting and trusting. He is sometimes called gullible by his friends. That only really means that he trusts too many people. Chris has a vivid imagination.

Chris has a healthy imagination and displays a fair amount of trust. He lets new people into his circle of friends. He uses his imagination to understand new ideas, things, and people.

Chris is sarcastic. This is a defense mechanism designed to protect his ego when he feels hurt. He pokes people harder than he gets poked. These sarcastic remarks can be very funny. They can also be harsh, bitter, and caustic at the same time.

Chris is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth.  This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. He needs to visualize the end of a project before he starts.  he finds joy in anticipation and planning.  Notice that I said he plans everything he is going to do, that doesn't necessarily mean things go as planned.  Chris basically feels good about himself.  He has a positive self-esteem which contributes to his success.  He feels he has the ability to achieve anything he sets his mind to.  However, he sets his goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach".  He has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, he will not take great risks, as they relate to his goals.  A good esteem is one key to a happy life.  Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, his self-perception is better than average.

In reference to Chris's mental abilities, he has a very investigating and creating mind. He investigates projects rapidly because he is curious about many things. He gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but he soon must slow down and look at all the angles. He probably gets too many things going at once. When Chris slows down, then he becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, he must slow down to do it. He then decides what projects he has time to finish. Thus he finishes at a slower pace than when he started the project. He has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. His mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. He can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Chris can then switch into his low gear. When he is in the slower mode, he can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. He is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

Chris is secretive. He has secrets which he does not wish to share with others. He intentionally conceals things about himself. He has a private side that he intends to keep that way, especially concerning certain events in his past.

Chris is sensitive to criticism about his ideas and philosophies. He will sometimes worry what people will think if he tells them what he believes in. This doesn't mean he won't talk, or that he feels ashamed. It merely means he is sensitive to what others think, regarding his beliefs.

Chris is moderately outgoing. His emotions are stirred by sympathy and heart rendering stories. In fact, he can be kind, friendly, affectionate and considerate of others. He has the ability to put himself into the other person's shoes. Chris will be somewhat moody, with highs and lows. Sometimes he will be happy, the next day he might be sad. He has the unique ability to get along equally well with what psychology calls introverts and extroverts. This is because he is in between. Psychology calls Chris an ambivert. He understands the needs of both types. Although they get along, he will not tolerate anyone that is too "far out." He doesn't sway too far one way or the other. When convincing him to buy a product or an idea, a heart rendering story could mean a great deal to him. He puts himself in the same situation as the person in the story, yet he will not buy anything that seems overly impractical or illogical. Chris is an expressive person. He outwardly shows his emotions. He may even show traces of tears when hearing a sad story. Chris is a "middle-of-the-roader," politically as well as logically. He weighs both sides of an issue, sits on the fence, and then will decide when he finally has to. He basically doesn't relate to any far out ideas and usually won't go to the extreme on any issue.

People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially.  According to the data input, Chris doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

  • Go me! I just woke up from a power nap. Time to study for calc, but first hand, I have to write in my xanga, hehe. Yea, so I was in Nich's room with Dez and we were all talkin about the classic Disney cartoons and how they're the best and how the new ones suck. Disney hasn't come out with anything good in a long ass time. The last good movie they came out with was The Lion King. The coloring (the new ones are done by computers while old was done by hand) and storylines all suck, esp Atlantis, since the character designs were stolen from a Japanese anime (don't remember which one.) From there, we started talking about old school tv shows and cartoons: He-Man, Batman, Thundercats, Transformers, TMNT, Go-Bots, Ghost Busters, Power Rangers, Voltron, and Super Human Samurai Syber Squad just to name a few. Ah, those were the days. Back when we collected toys and comics. I remember the shelves in stores that were dedicated to Ninja Turtles and Transformers. Almost makes me wanna be a kid again so I can watch cartoons again. Actually, I think Ima go watch cartoons now, lol.  I think I'll go watch some after the exams. Wooo! Must get Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and the others! It's going to be a Disney party! Kekekekeke ^_^ V.  Yea, so if you wanna watch, just come join us.
